Whales can be found all over in the world's oceans, including the icy cold arctic waters. So how does a whale stay warm without a coat? EXPERIMENT TIME! We took turns putting our hands into icy cold water. However, one hand was protected by a BLUBBER GLOVE! We put Crisco in 2 gallon Ziploc bags to simulate the layer of fat or blubber a whale has. Instantly our hand froze when we put our hand in the water unprotected. Our other hand stayed nice and warm thanks to the blubber!
