Behavior Reminder

If your child has this slip stapled inside his/her assignment notebook...

know that he or she is NOT in trouble!

This is just so you can help remind your child what they need to work on at school.  We are still learning the rules and expectations of first grade.  Your support will help us be the best we can be!

OUR room

It is not my classroom it is OUR classroom. I want the classroom to belong to everyone. As I look at my desk, I see pictures of my family. I smiles every time I look at them. I want all my students to be able to look at a picture of their families and smile too though out the day.
I invite all my students to bring in a small framed picture, no bigger than a 5X7, to be displayed throughout the school year around the room. The pictures can be changed out too when students would like.

Welcome Wonderful Whales

What a great day! We learned a lot about each other by eating m&ms. (Ask your child to share with you how we used M&M's to learn about each other.

Look how happy we are to be in first grade!

We also read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. We made our own coconut trees with our names on them.  We had to count up how many consonants and vowels we had in our names.

For fun, you can watch the video at home!

Permission

Over the course of the school year we require your permission for various activities. We would like to have you sign one form now that we will keep on file until June 2014. If you have any questions please ask your child’s teacher. If you prefer to fill this out online rather than on paper, please complete this online form instead of the paper form provided at Meet the Teacher Night.

Sign up for reminders!

Here are two great ways to stay in the "loop."
