Red Carpet Day 2020-2021
When students arrived at school they were greeted by the paparazzi as they walked the red carpet to the world premier of the Wonderful Whales Movie.
After watching the Wonderful Whales movie, we switched gears to the Classy Awards! We celebrated our accomplishments and each of our personal strengths that make each of us special and unique!
It was an absolute pleasure to be the teacher of these wonderful first graders. We survived a difficult year and each of these kiddos will forever hold a VERY special place in my heart! Even though our time in the classroom is done, I will always be cheering each of you on through your journey. I can't wait to see all that you accomplish! I love you all!
To the parents, thank you so much for trusting me with not only your child's education, but their safety and emotional well being! As a parent myself, I know how difficult it can be to send your child out into the world knowing that there will be outside influences and trials that come their way. It is NEVER lost on me the great responsibility and trust that is placed upon me. Thank you! It was a true honor and blessing to take on this task. I hope that you all have an incredible summer!
Love,
Mrs. Wanke

Hatching Duck Eggs Day 7
Today was day 7 of incubation! This was a very important day because today we got to candle our eggs to see if the baby ducks are developing.
To candle the eggs we shined a light inside the egg. We knew that on day 7, we should see a small black spot in the middle and veins.
We were thrilled to see that all 7 eggs are developing as they should!
We will candle our eggs again on day 14 to see if the eggs are still developing as they should. We would expect to see a much larger baby chick in the center, lots of movement, and still some veins.
Ask your child to share with you what they saw today!
