Well thank goodness the rain held off! We had a great day for a hike with Mr. Faller! He showed us all sorts of things on our hike.
This week we read the story White Owl Barn Owl. It was a story about a girl and her grandfather that set up an owl box so they could hopefully see a barn owl. They waited night after night and finally they saw a barn owl! The best part about this book is there are facts about owls mixed it!
We made a chart all the facts we knew about owls before we started reading. Then, when we were done we added more facts to the "learned" section of our chart. We learned that what you know is called our schema! We sure grew our schema about owls this week.
Lastly, we moved one of our facts down to misconceptions. Before this week we thought owls could move their heads all the way around. Through our learning, we discovered that this was NOT true.
