We are working really hard at learning routines and expectations. We also have been doing lots of review activities to make sure that we all have the same foundation before we hit the ground running. I am so excited to spend my days with this GREAT group of kiddos!
Today we played letter sound BINGO. Next week we will get our first spelling list and have our first spelling test. To make sure that we are reading for spelling we spent this week practicing our letter sounds. We had lots of fun playing letter sound BINGO.
In the afternoon we played Five in a Row. We have been working really hard at learning number words. We would take turns flipping over a number word card and finding that number on our game board. The first player to get five squares in a row, won!
We also worked really hard at one of our first math journal entries. This entry was pretty tricky because it involved lots of cutting, gluing, and direction following.
