Whack-A-Word and the Writing Fairy
On Thursday last week we had a ton of fun practicing spelling words with the consonant vowel consonant spelling pattern by playing Whack-A-Word.
Whack-A-Word is very similar to Whack-A-Mole, but no mole whacking going on in here. We are too busy whacking letters!
On Tuesday, the writing fairy visited our class! The writing fairy secretly listens to our writing lessons. If we are use the skill that we are working on in our writing, she will leave a Skittle on our paper whenever we she sees that skill in our writing.
On Tuesday, we were learning to add capitals and punctuation in our writing. When we came back from recess and lunch, there was a Skittle on our paper every time we had a capital letter and a punctuation mark.
