What a week!

The Writing Fairy Came!

Our focus skill in writing has been to use our word wall and privacy folders to spell unknown words.  Today, while we were out the Writing Fairy came and put a Skittle on every word that we used our word wall and privacy folder to spell correctly. 

Jog-A-Thon

We had a blast today running the track for the Jog-A-Thon.  Mrs. Wanke even ran with us.  Some of us ran 13 laps...that is just over 3 miles!  WOW!

Making Music

We have been learning about how sound is made.  So Mrs. Wanke gave us a challenge. Go home and create a musical instrument.  Some of us chose to accept the challenge and came up with some really interesting instruments.  

Cookie By Design Star Student

Our first Cookies By Design, Star Student winner was Ava.  Each month a students in the class will nominate a student with good behavior to be a Star Student.  The person with the most nominations will get a cookie from Cookies By Design!

FIRE SAFETY

Today Sparky and Fire Fighter Mike came and taught us how to get out of our house or school if there is ever a fire!

Fire Fighter Mike showed us that he we don't need to be afraid of fire fighters when they have on all their gear!

We practiced climbing out of a window.  Thanks Sparky for helping us!

Bus Safety

Mrs. Simmons showed us how to safely cross in front of a school bus!

She also showed us how to use the emergency exit.
